Mother and Daughter Attend School Together

Mother, Genine Licciardello, and daughter, Concetta "Connie" Licciardello, attend Salem Community College together. When Connie asked her mother, "Would you attend SCC with me?" Genine Licciardello quickly agreed.

"Attending college together has strengthened the relationship I have with my daughter. I get to see Concetta's more adult perspective on life and how she handles her responsibilities," offered Genine Licciardello. "I've enjoyed seeing a new side of my mom, and this experience has brought us closer." When two people from the same family unit partner together to take on achieving their goals, the results can be outstanding. "It's a wonderful way to build a relationship with someone else," Connie Licciardello explained. Genine Licciardello added, "We help one another during group projects, and have developed great study habits working together."

Genine and Connie Licciardello are both Health Science majors and plan to enter the medical field; Genine is considering nursing, and Connie, dentistry.

It's great to see that a mother and daughter are developing their relationship and a good connection by going to school together. And at the same time they're getting an education. (Continued…)
